Letters to the Editor
Sir, I was fortunate to have been blessed by M.S. Subbulakshmi at her residence a few years ago. After coming to know that I was interested in music she asked me to sing. I sang Purandaradasa's Makkala Maanikya. She advised me never to lose interest in music. The few minutes I spent with her will remain the most cherished in my life.
B.S. Ramakrishna,
Sir, When M.S. was giving a music concert in Bangalore, an ailing Navratna Rama Rao was eager to attend it. But his doctors advised him against it. M.S. came to know of this after the performance. She immediately left for Rama Rao's residence and sang for him.
R. Ramachandra Rao,
