Letters to the Editor
Sir, Not a day seems to pass in Parliament without a furore involving Lalu Prasad. First, it was the spat with Ram Vilas Paswan, and then Mr. Prasad's absence in the Lok Sabha following the train accident in Punjab. Now, the noise is over the FIR against him in an alleged case of bribery. On every occasion, the Opposition demands his removal and the ruling party defends him. Where is the end to this?
R. Thirunarayanan,
Sir, By going along with Mr. Prasad, is the Congress not doing injustice to its glorious legacy?
Pranav Sachdeva,
Sir, Elections in India are almost like festivals, especially for the rank and file who participate in rallies and yatras with great enthusiasm. Lavish distribution of money also is not uncommon during elections. Why then is Mr. Prasad being singled out for distributing 100-rupee notes?
P.U. Krishnan,
Sir, It appears as if everything is fair in love, war, and politics. The manner in which Mr. Prasad was seen distributing money speaks volumes about the state of our polity.
Shadaan Alam,
