By Our Staff Reporter

NELLORE, DEC. 22. The police in Venkatachalastram nabbed a man, said to be insane, on Wednesday, for allegedly causing the death of a 15-month-old girl child.

According to the SI, Khasim, the police received a complaint on December 17 about a missing girl child from Punjulurupadu village. The police commenced investigation, suspecting some beggars. However, information reached the police that an insane person was found eating the flesh of a three-month-old calf at Tiurmavupalem village and the enraged locals handed over him to the police on Wednesday.

In view of the gory incident, villagers suspect that the man might have harmed the girl. A search of the nearby places by the police led to the discovery of some bones and anklets, confirming the suspicion that the girl child might have died under mysterious circumstances.
