THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 22. A State-level Rural NGOs Forum was launched at a consultative meeting of NGOs and others concerned organised by the Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART) here today. The director-general of the council, L. S. Saptharshi, told the meeting which was inaugurated by the Rural Development Minister, C. F. Thomas, that even those rural NGOs which were not getting any assistance from the CAPART should join the forum as it was meant to be a State-level platform for coming up with fresh ideas, suggestions and inputs for policy initiatives and for the effective implementation of programmes and projects. The representatives of over 350 NGOs attended the meeting.
