`Police engaging in false propaganda'
By Our Staff Reporter
DINDIGUL,
DEC. 22.
The Bharatiya Janata Party all-India secretary, L. Ganesan, has said that the political scenario had changed after the arrest of the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, in the Varadarajaperumal temple official, Sankararaman, murder case.
Talking to presspersons at Batlagundu near here yesterday, he said State politics had seen a strong vibration after the arrest of the seer. He condemned the police for passing information contrary to truth.
Though the murder case was pending before the court, he charged the police with engaging in false propaganda. He alleged that the statement of Appu alias Krishnaswamy, prime accused in the Sankararaman murder case, was first leaked to the press.
