VISAKHAPATNAM, DEC. 22. Thousands of people thronged Simhachalam to offer prayers at the Sri Varaha Lakshminrusimha Swami Temple on Wednesday on the occasion of `Mukoti Ekadasi'. People made a beeline to the hill shrine from early hours to have `Uttaradwara darsanam.' The chairman of the temple trust, P. Anand Gajapathi Raju, was the first to have the darashan at 4 a.m. The devasthanam authorities conducted cultural programmes like harikatha, religious discourses and a Bharatanatyam dance recital. Religious fervour was also marked in the city with scores of devotees offering prayers at Sri Venkateswaraswami temples in Seethammadhara, Kaparada and Port Area and other Vaishnava temples.
