BANGALORE, DEC. 22. The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, which has outsourced maintenance of streetlights, has set timeframes for repair and replacement of bulbs and fittings. According to a press release, fused fluorescent tubes will be replaced within 24 hours and sodium-vapour lamps within a week of receiving complaints. Removal of hanging cables and repair of junction boxes and pavement cables will be done within a day, the release has said. Complaints regarding streetlights can be registered with the civic body's control room between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Ph: 22975595, 22975596, 22975597, 22975598 and 22975599. People can also lodge complaints at the head office on Ph: 22221188, 22100031 and 23341692 (West), 22975803 (East) and 26566362 (South), the release has said.
