BANGALORE, DEC. 22. The Archdiocese of Bangalore will focus on HIV/AIDS awareness programmes among girls and women this year and also try to bring dropouts back to school. According to the Archbishop of the Bangalore Diocese, Bernard Moras, the two projects are the church's "gifts" to Bangalore as part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. He told presspersons here on Wednesday that the church had decided to work on the projects because of the importance attached to them. "HIV/AIDS awareness is essential because India has a huge problem already. The Archbishop said the awareness programmes would be held in schools.
