Chocolate robbery
KHANDWA,
DEC. 23.
Four armed robbers scooted with a truck carrying chocolates worth Rs.10 lakhs at Dapora in Madhya Pradesh, the police said today.
The robbers, who were travelling in another truck, stopped the truck, thrashed and tied up the driver and cleaner and dumped them in a field on Wednesday night.
The intentions of the criminals were not immediately clear, but the forcible diversion of many commercial consignments while they are being transported from production units to distributor or retail outlets is a growing problem in some parts of the country.
