C-D ratio of banks dips in Wayanad

KALPETTA: The credit-deposit ratio of banks has dipped in Wayanad district where the farm sector is in the grip of a severe financial crisis. It was announced at the district level banking review meeting of the district that CD ratio had declined to 152 per cent at the end of September 30. It was 192 per cent during the corresponding period last year. V. Vijayakrishnan, Wayanad District Collector, who presided, asked the banks to focus their efforts on farm sector and meet the credit targets set for them.
