KOZHIKODE, DEC. 23. The Kerala Prohibition Council has lauded the resignation of the Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran from the KPCC executive in protest against the party's inaction against the Industries Minister, P.K. Kunhalikutty, who is allegedly involved in a sex scandal. In a statement here today, council State secretary Iyyancherry Kunhikrishnan said the decision of Mr. Sudheeran was praiseworthy. The council deplored the stance taken by the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, on the issue. Mr. Sudheeran had taken the right stand by not falling in line with the view that Mr. Kunhalikutty did not need to resign from his post, the statement added.
