Kollam
By Our Staff Reporter
KOLLAM, DEC. 23. The managing trustee of the SMP Memorial Trusts, Karumalil Sukumaran, has disputed the Kollam Mayor, Sabita Beegum's, allegation that it was a complaint from the Trust which led to the demolition of the vegetable stalls on the SMP Road in the city. At a press conference here today, Mr. Sukumaran said that the entire support in the form of manpower and machinery for the Public Works Department led demolition was provided by the Kollam Corporation. He wanted to know under what grounds had the Mayor called for the takeover of the SMP Palace by the State Government.
