Pondicherry Dec.23. The Pondicherry Lt. Governor, M. M. Lakhera, today condoled with the death of the former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao. In his message, Mr. Lakhera said in the death of Mr. Rao the country had lost an eminent politician, scholar and intellectual. The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, said Mr. Rao's death was an irreparable loss both to the country and the Congress. The intense economic reforms that Mr. Rao had undertaken during his tenure as Prime Minister attracted the global attention.
