At a condolence meeting held here on the premises of R&B guest house he said PV was a "Telugu bidda' who rose to the highest political post in the country, Prime Minister. As Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh he had introduced land reforms to help uplift the dalits and backward classes by making special laws. He was also father of economic reforms who had brought private investment for development of infrastructure facilities in the country. PV had also worked for creating infrastructure in rural areas and had spent Rs. 30,000 crores for rural development during his five-year tenure as Prime Minister. PV had a special bond with Anantapur as he had his political guru from the district in Kalluru Subba Rao.
