UDUPI, DEC. 23. The Udupi Taluk Panchayat has opposed the construction of district offices complex at End Point in Manipal. The resolution, unanimously adopted at the general-body meeting of the panchayat on Wednesday, has sought the construction of the complex in Udupi. Earlier, raising the issue, Indira Suvarna, member, said it will be difficult for people from Udupi taluk to visit the complex were it to be located in Manipal. The president of the panchayat, Nityananda Shetty, said a petition in this regard will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.
