From A Correspondent
NEDUMBASSERY, DEC. 23. Indian Airlines (IA) today restarted its Agathy service from the Cochin International Airport after it was temporarily suspended two days back. The 14-seater Dornier aircraft left for Agathy today at 3.30 p.m. with 11 passengers on board. Meanwhile, Indian Airlines has announced additional services to Agathy on December 25 and 27 considering the festive season rush. It is also known that Indian Airlines has placed an order for the Airborne Collision Avoidance System (ACAS) with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for its Agathy bound Dornier aircraft. The Director General of Civil Aviation has instructed the airline company to introduce the system, which reduces the possibility of mid-air collision.
