Railways fights back to restrict Andhra

ANANTAPUR, DEC. 23. Railways fought back to restrict Andhra to 120 for six at close on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group `A' match at the RDT Stadium here today.

Resuming at 165 for six, Railways made 263 in the first innings thanks to Siddarth Joshi (37, 5x4) and Harvinder Singh (23, 2x4, 2x6). For Andhra, captain Y. Venugopala Rao (four for 34) was the most successful bowler.

In reply, Andhra lost wickets at regular intervals with medium-pacer J. P. Yadav and Madan Yadav taking two wickets each. The crucial blow was delivered by J. P. Yadav who trapped Andhra captain Venugopala Rao in front.
