Cycle Brand Kids in semifinals

KOCHI, DEC. 24. Cycle Brand Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram), Surabhi Arcon (Thrissur) and Jolly Rovers (Perinthalmanna) entered the semifinals in the first phase of the 18th KRL all-India cricket tournament at the KRL here on Thursday.

Cycle Brand Kids CC scored a 32-run win over Rayro CC while Surabi Arcon defeated Tellichery Cricket Club by 15 runs. Jolly Rovers prevailed over AG's Oktopals, Thrissur by one wicket and moved into last four stage.

The scores: Cycle Brand Kids CC 205 for eight in 30 overs (Bijumon 42, Rejith 40, Rakendu 40, Sanju three for 45) bt Rayro CC 173 in 29 overs (Gethesh 39, Vivek Gopan five for 39).

Surabhi Arcon 186 in 28 overs (Arun P.sarathy 74, Shahid six for 36) bt Tellichery CC 171 in 27.2 overs (Dijudas 58, Thejas 34, Abhijith Menon five for 43).

AG's Oktopals 175 for eight in 30 overs (Bijesh Benny 60, Subin Babu 42) lost to Jolly Rovers 176 for nine in 29.3 overs (Prejith 54, Firoz four for 35, Krishnakumar three for 28).
