Samjwadi retains Lok Sabha seats

LUCKNOW, DEC. 23 The Samajwadi Party has retained the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, the bypolls for which were held on December 20. It has also won the prestigious Akbarpur seat. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh's nephew, Dharmendra Yadav, won in Mainpuri, while the Minister of State for Fisheries, Shankh Lal Majhi, won in Akbarpur.
