KARIMNAGAR, DEC. 23. In a novel protest, Bharatiya Janata Party town unit leaders stoned the effigy of the TRS president and Union Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, in the town on Thursday for `failing to fulfil his promise' of achieving Telangana within six months after attaining power. BJP activists, led by the town president, S. Ravinder Singh, assembled in front of the Tower Circle with placards listing the promises of the Union Minister. After raising slogans, they hurled stones at the effigy later set in on fire. They flayed the TRS leader for deceiving people of Telangana with his false promise on separate statehood.
