CHAMARAJANAGAR, DEC. 23. Farmers took out a procession here today urging the district administration to take steps to release water from the Suvarnavathy reservoir to the old command area to ease the drinking water crisis. They formed a human chain at Bhuvaneshwari Circle and staged dharna on the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's office. They shouted slogans against the Irrigation authorities and the district administration for not releasing water to 18 villages in the old command area.
