CHENNAI, DEC. 23. The judicial custody of the Kanchi Sankaracharya, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, in the Sankararaman murder case and the Radhakrishnan assault case was today extended till January 6 through the video-conferencing mode in Vellore. In Chennai, the hearing on the Acharya's bail application in the Radhakrishnan assault case was adjourned to December 27 by Justice R. Balasubramanian of the Madras High Court.
