VISAKHAPATNAM, DEC. 23. Varri Neela (30), resident of Sarada Nagar in Railway New Colony, survived an attempt on life by her `live-in-partner, Vinod, on Wednesday night. Neela, who suffered burn injuries when Vinod set her ablaze after pouring kerosene on her, in her complaint lodged at Fourth Town Police Station, alleged that after driving her out of the house, Vinod tried to burn her to death. Neela had been staying with Vinod for last one year after getting separated from her husband. Police said that Neela and Vinod used to have quarrels frequently over the latter's decision to continue his relationship with his wife. The police registered an attempt to murder case.
