MADURAI, DEC. 23. The city today registered a maximum temperature of 31.2 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.2 degree Celsius.

Water level

The level in the Periyar dam stood at 121.5 feet with an inflow of 230 cusecs and a discharge of 900 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 50.39 feet with an inflow of 770 cusecs and a discharge of 2,730 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit was 4527 mcft.

Last date extended

The last date for issue of starter pack of Excel pre-paid cards for those who have registered their names in the city between July 28 and October 14, has been extended up to December 27, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Madurai General Manager, M.K. Sudarsanam, said in a statement.
