THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 23 . A 23-year-old youth was killed on the spot and another seriously injured when the motorcycle in which they were travelling collided with a van on the NH-47 at Vazhimukku near Balaramapuram at 12.30 p.m. today. According to Medical College Hospital sources, the deceased has been identified as Aby, a resident of Ambalathilvila Veedu, Avanakuzhy, Thanimoodu. Binu, a resident of Vadakathil Puthen Veedu, Thanimoodu, who was seriously injured, had been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. The police have registered a case.
Boy drowned
A 12-year-old boy met with a watery grave after he slipped into a well while trying to draw water at Kallampally near Sreekariyam at 3.30 p.m. today. According to the Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, Arun Gopi, son of Gopi and Indira, Kattuvila Veedu, Kalampally, died on way to the hospital.
