Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 23. The police have arrested a 25-year-old youth wanted in connection with 45 cases registered in several police stations in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts. According to the police, Jayesh was arrested from Appolo Colony, Pallipuram on December 21. Jayesh is a resident of Laksham veedu, Kotturkonam near Mudapuram in Chirayinkeezh. He is wanted in a case relating to the attack on a scooterist at Nilamel in 2002, the theft of a motorcycle from Paravur eight months ago and attack on a bus driver at Nagaroor two years ago. Jayesh is an accused in theft of stereos from several cars, burglaries in Murukkumpuzha and Mangalapuram police station limits and in the attack on the police at Chirayinkeezh. The youth was arrested by a team led by the Circle Inspector (Kazhakkuttom), P. Reghu and Sub Inspector (Mangalapuram) P. Anil Kumar under the supervision of the Dy.SP (Attingal) B. Sasidharan. The police is on the look out for three others in Jayesh's gang.
