ALAPPUZHA, DEC. 24. The Tourism Minister, K. C. Venugopal, will inaugurate a three-day-long celebrations that mark the conclusion of the Golden jubilee celebrations of Mahatma High School, Chennithala, at 9.30 a.m. on December 27, the school chairman, K. R. Narayana Pillai, has said. As a part of the valedictory function, various competitions for students would be held on the days of the celebration. A space museum built on the school compound would be dedicated to the school at the function. On December 27 afternoon, the students would stage various programmes. The Education Minister, E. T. Muhammad Bashir, will inaugurate a cultural meeting on December 28 at 10 a.m. Kerala University Vice-Chancellor K. Ramachandran Nair will preside over. The Union Minister for Power, P. M. Sayeed, will dedicate the newly-built space museum on the school compound at a function on December 29 at 3 p.m. The AICC secretary, Ramesh Chennithala, will preside over the function. The Minister for Civil Supplies, Adoor Prakash, will release a souvenir prepared in connection with the jubilee. C. S. Sujatha, MP, and M. Murali, MLA, will offer felicitations.
