Isolated rain in coastal T.N.

CHENNAI, DEC. 24. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over interior and north coastal Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over south Kerala, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, south coastal Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, south Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and mainly dry weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
