Thai firm launches Indian subsidiary

CHENNAI: Smart Brain Company of Thailand has launched its Indian operations, Smart Brain International. The Thailand company employs the advanced ancient Chinese Abacus mental arithmetic system of learning using the visua-spatial tool to train children in mental arithmetic. It was earlier functioning through its Indian franchisee, says a release. The Indian subsidiary will be appointing master franchisees in all the States and will also be using the existing 100 centres. The company will also be increasing the number of centres to 300 by 2006. The Thailand company has 400 centres globally in 11 countries. Enquiries: 92833 63747/5204 3747/8.
