Ford to hike prices
NEW DELHI,
DEC. 24.
Ford Motor India today said that the prices of its cars, including the flagship Ikon, would go up between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 18,000 from January 1, on account of higher input costs.
The company Vice President (external affairs and director, sales operations), Vinay Pipersania, told PTI that the hike in prices of Ikon would only be on the base model, Flair. "The Flair will be dearer by Rs. 5,000 at Rs. 4.84 lakhs,'' he said
The company has also increased the prices of its sport utility vehicle Endeavour by Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 18,000. The Endeavour is priced at Rs. 13.40 lakhs for the two-wheel drive and Rs. 14.50 lakhs for the four-wheel drive. However, it will not effect any change in its recently launched vehicle Fusion, he added.
