Third front

Sir, — This refers to the article, `Third front: a non-starter' (Dec. 23). Instead of running after regional outfits or the groups in the Janata Parivar, the Left parties should take steps to expand their base from three States now and capture ground in States such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and elsewhere.
