Bus passengers robbed

DEC. 24.
Passengers of a Hyderabad-bound Kurnool depot RTC bus were robbed by three dacoits on Thursday night at Malleboyanapally on National Highway No.7 who decamped with Rs 3,78,140 in cash and ornaments and a cell phone worth Rs 1.2 lakhs.
According to the Jadcharla police, a man who boarded the bus at Kurnool bus station stopped it four km away from Jadcharla bus station at Malleboyanapalli stage, after threatening the driver with a revolver.
They ordered the driver to take the bus from the National Highway to an isolated place near Chitteboyanapalli tanda. Later, all the three dacoits looted the passengers by threatening them with kinves and revolvers.
