Villagers throng Vangara

KARIMNAGAR, DEC. 24. Hundreds of villagers belonging to the neighbouring villages of the former Prime Minister, P.V Narasimha Rao's native place, Vangara, in Bheemadevarapalli mandal, thronged the village on Friday to have a glimpse of his ancestral house.

Villagers from Husnabad, Bheemadevarapalli, Huzurabad, Elkathurthi mandals were seen visiting the Vangara village in various modes of transport to have a glimpse of the departed leader's house and also pay homage to his portrait, which was installed in the village by the local people.

Meanwhile, some villagers also left for Hyderabad to have a last glimpse of the departed leader. With a large number of villagers planning to visit Hyderabad to participate in the funeral of the leader, the local sarpanch, Venkat Swamy, is making arrangements to shift them to Hyderabad in the early hours of Saturday.

The District Congress Committee organised a condolence meeting in the party office here on Saturday. The DCC doctors cell convenor, Vijayender Reddy, the district Youth Congress president, Y Sunil Rao, the DCC spokesperson, A Bhaskar Reddy, and others participated in the meeting and paid tribute to the departed leader.
