NEW DELHI, DEC. 24. Five Bangladeshi nationals, who were allegedly involved in 45 criminal cases in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, were arrested at Vasant Kunj in South-West Delhi on Thursday. The police impounded a Maruti car and two country-made pistols in the operation. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West Delhi), Deependra Pathak, the Vasant Kunj police received a tip-off that some criminals would come to the area to commit a robbery on Thursday. Around 10 p.m., the police personnel deployed at the Ram Mandir Road picket spotted the white Maruti car in which the suspects were moving. They tried to intercept the vehicle on which the occupants opened fire at them. However, the vehicle came to a halt after it hit the barricade placed on the road.
