Writers pained

NALGONDA, DEC.25. The Telangana Rachayitala Vedika has taken exception to the cremation of the former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao's body in Hyderabad instead of New Delhi.

The Vedika's general secretary and writer, Venu Samkoju, in a press release here on Saturday said: "The decision to cremate him in Hyderabad, that too at a corner place, not only surprised us but also pained us immensely.''

The Vedika, at a condolence meeting, expressed its heartfelt sympathies to the family members of the departed leader. "We are at a loss to understand why the Telangana muddu bidda's funeral was gently nudged out of New Delhi. With the exception of Morarji Desai and now P.V., all Prime Ministers were cremated in the national capital,'' Mr. Venu observed.
