CHENNAI, DEC. 25. A free skill and technology upgradation programme was organised by the Tamil Nadu Adi-Dravida Housing Development Corporation for 40 traditional footwear artisans under its `self-employment programme for youth' scheme. At the valedictory on Tuesday, J.M. Balamurugan, Corporation's Managing Director, distributed certificates, tool-kits worth Rs. 1,400 and the products made during the programme to the artisans. S. Narayanaswamy, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, Giri Loganathan, Chief Manager, Indian Bank, T.K. Ponnusamy, General Manager, TAHDCO, and officials of the Indian Institute of Leather Products participated.
