MADURAI, DEC. 25. With the relocation of the statue of Tirumalai Nayak, the Rs. 1-crore renovation project being carried out at the Tirumalai Nayak Mahal, has reached the last leg. According to official sources, since the statue was not in a prominently visible place, it has been relocated to the present position. It has been planned to develop gardens in the place where the statue was located earlier. The work of constructing barricades around the statue is on and marble slabes would be fixed as an added attraction. With the completion of this work, the Mahal would be fully ready for the ensuing dance festival next month.
