Housewife robbed at knifepoint

HYDERABAD,
DEC. 25.
An unidentified person took away gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas from a housewife, G. Shakuntala, at knifepoint even as she was entering her flat on the fifth floor of her apartment at DD colony on Friday.
She was opening the lock of the flat when a person came from behind and asked if the opposite building would be let out. The woman opened the doors and was about to answer the intruder's question when he pushed her and, brandishing a knife, threatened to kill her if she failed to part with her jewellery.
He collected her `mangalasuthram', four bangles and a chain and fled the scene, the Amberpet Inspector, Rameshaiah, said.
