Artificial scarcity of CellOne cards alleged
HYDERABAD,
DEC.25.
The CITU State Committee has charged some BSNL officials with creating artificial scarcity of CellOne pre-paid cards causing hardship to consumers.
S. Veeraiah, general secretary of CITU, in a statement alleged that the officials were colluding with private firms with a view to causing loss to the public-sector undertaking.
He claimed that the BSNL's failure in stocking adequate cards appeared to be part of a conspiracy.
The committee demanded steps by Communications Ministry officials to prevent loss to the BSNL and to improve CellOne signal equipment.
