BEML (Mysore) wins title

MYSORE, DEC. 26. BEML (Mysore)'s hoopsters won their last Super-league match against last year's runner-up Young Challengers Sports Club 69-60 and clinched the Mysore District basketball league title 2004 in the tournament conducted by the MDBA at the Subbarayanakere grounds here on Sunday.

The results: Super League: BEML (Mysore) 69 (Ramakanth C Rao 24, Shivanna 15, Rajesh Raje Urs 12) bt Young Challengers Sports Club 60 ( Supradeep 16, Naveen 15) (ht 33-39).

Nationals SC 97 (J.B. Joshan 24, Jayanth 16) bt Protec SC 70 (Priya Ram 39, Sethuram 12, Ajay 14) (ht 38-37).

BEML (Mysore) 63 (A.R. Ramesh 18, Ramakanth V Rao 14) bt Nationals SC 35 (Jayanth 9) (ht 34-19).

Protec SC 62 (B.K. Priya Ram 30, Ajay 20) bt YCSC 43 ( Supradeep 14) (ht 47-25).

Final Placings: 1. BEML (Mysore); 2. Nationals SC; 3. Protec SC.

Best Player of the tournament: Ajay (Protec SC); Promising Player: Ravichander (Rangers SC).
