Shubha, Sandeep keep winning

MANDYA, DEC. 26. Shubha Chittaranjan in Group I girls' section and N.A. Sandeep in Group II boys, continued their winning spree in the State short course swimming champinship at the PET Centre pool here on Sunday.

Shubha ofmalleswaram Swim Club, for the second day running, claimed fourmore golds and in the process set ameet record in the 50m butterfly (30,40s).

Sandeep of BAC, picked sevenmore golds, taking his individual tally so far, to 12.

Sandeep's golds came in the 400m indvidualmedley, 100m breaststroke 200m buterfly, 50m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 200m individualmedley. He also setmeetmarks in the 50m freestyle and 50m back stroke.

With today'smassive haul, Sandeep is truly on way to his goal ofmaking a clean sweep in all his 16 individual event.

In Group I, Aniketh D'Souza, R.H. Hawladar and J.P. Aarjun were waging a keen fight for supremacy and the final round onmonday should see a tight finish for overall individual honours.
