CODISSIA plea on revision of minimum wages

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association has appealed to the Centre to "drop the proposal for the upward revision in the minimum wages." In a release, its president, J. Balu, said that any sudden and abnormal increase in the rate of wages would affect the small scale units. He pleaded that the State Government should also take up this matter with the Union Ministry of Labour and ensure that the proposal for the upward revision was dropped.
