BJP has no right to talk about Telugu pride: VHR

HYDERABAD, DEC. 27. The Rajya Sabha member, V. Hanumantha Rao, on Monday decried the demand made by the BJP that the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister tender an apology for hurting the sentiments of Telugus regarding the former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao's last rites.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Rao said the BJP had no right to talk about Telugu pride and humiliation to the `Telugu bidda' as they fielded their candidate against the late leader.

Meanwhile, the TDP denied that the party was politicising the issue of cremation.
