Police, Congress conspiring against me: Paritala
ANANTAPUR,
DEC. 27.
The Telugu Desam Party MLA from Penukonda, Paritala Ravindra, on Monday alleged that the police in connivance with the Congress leaders was hatching a conspiracy against him and the TDP.
Talking to reporters here, he said regular mention of his name by the police linking him to TDP leaders arrested in foisted cases and a few criminals, was an indication of the conspiracy. Mr. Ravindra denied any association with Umamaheswar Reddy, a TDP leader from Tadipatri who was arrested. By claiming that a conspiracy to kill the Jubilee Hills car bomb case convict, G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, was busted with the arrest of Reddy, the police have shown that they were trying their best to prove their loyalty to a few Congress leaders.
Bail granted
The District and Sessions Court granted bail to the MLA in two cases. Cases of missing of Suri and Bhaskar Reddy were registered in Chennekothapalli and Roddam police stations three months ago. Family members of the two `missing' persons had not complained to the police allegedly due to fear. However, after an assurance by the Government they filed complaints this year.
