dated December 28, 1954: Rajpramukh's advice

The special responsibility which proprietors and managements of hotels had towards the public in keeping a certain standard in cleanliness and sanitation in rooms and their appurtenances and purity and wholesomeness in the food supplied was emphasised by the Rajpramukh of Mysore, while declaring open Hotel Dasaprakash, an up-to-date residential hotel on Poonamallee High Road in Madras on December 27. A large gathering including Ministers, Judges of the High Court and prominent businessmen of Madras was present. On arrival, the Rajpramukh was received with Purnakumbham by Mr. K. Seetharama Rao, proprietor of the hotel. The function began with an invocation by Mr. S.N. Davey and the rendering of a Purandharadasa krithi by Srimathi M.L. Vasanthakumari. Mr. P. Ananda Rau read the messages received on the occasion.
