Facile win for AP
HYDERABAD,
DEC. 27
Host Andhra Pradesh chalked up an easy 27-12 victory over Himachal Pradesh in the quarterfinal of the senior national korfball championship here on Monday. At halftime AP was leading 11-6. For the home team Ashish (5), Kumudini and Archana (four each) and Sumalatha, Santosh and Ajay (three each) were the main scorers. In the semifinals AP will take on Haryana while Jammu and Kashmir will clash with Delhi tomorrow.
The results: Quarterfinals: Dehi bt Punjab 15-7; Haryana bt Madhya Pradesh 12-8, Jammu and Kashmir bt Uttar Pradesh 12-10; Andhra Pradesh bt Himachal Pradesh 27-12.
