CHENNAI, DEC. 27. With the World Cup around the corner, every match has its own significance. The Australian women, who have gained a winning 4-2 lead, could try out an experiment or two during the final game. For the Indian eves the last ODI to be played at the Mayajaal ground on Tuesday, apart from providing a chance to make the score-line read more respectable, offers an opportunity to rectify their shortcomings. Indian captain Mamta Maben said her side required to tighten up in certain departments ahead of the World Cup in South Africa beginning March 2005. Former Indian Test captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth will inaugurate the match. N. Srinivasan, president, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, will give away the prizes.
