THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 27. The Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) and other Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) installations near here are ``completely safe and unaffected'' by the tsunami waves that lashed the coastal areas of the district yesterday. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Director, B.N. Suresh, said that the TERLS, though situated close to the sea, was not affected, as were the other vital ISRO installations. ``It is completely quiet here. We were not affected. There were no high tides in this area at all,'' Mr. Suresh said. However, the ISRO personnel had been asked to take precautionary measures, he said. - UNI
