NEW DELHI, DEC. 27. The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) has opened a new avenue for billiards and snooker with its entry into the mainstream cue sport competitions. For the first time, PSPB will be participating in the National championship with top cueists already having joined the fold. Asian champion Alok Kumar, former World snooker champion Pankaj Advani, Sourav Kothari and Dhruv Sitwala have joined the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) as the petroleum sector plans to bring more cueists onto its roll. The ONGC, has in fact appointed former World billiards champion, Manoj Kothari, as consultant for its cue sport team and as a prelude to the coming Nationals in Mumbai the petroleum major, in association with the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) conducted a coaching camp for the top cueists.
