HYDERABAD, DEC 27. The Revenue Divisional Officer of Nagarkurnool, K. Krishna Reddy, and his subordinate G. Ravi, were arrested on Monday on the charge of accepting bribe for releasing rice to a contractor under the Sampoorna Grameena Yojana scheme. A Bureau press release on Monday said the bribe amount of Rs 5,000 was accepted by Ravi on the instructions of the RDO, Krishna Reddy. The bribe money was recovered from Ravi. Reddy, it was stated, had demanded the money for release of 34 quintals of rice. In another case, K. Chandra Mouli, a superintendent in the office of Conservator of Forests in Kurnool, was trapped when he was said to have taken a bribe of Rs 2,000 for putting up a file relating to departmental action.
